happy you're here.
McKenlee Wilson (she/her), is a theatre artist born and raised in Austin, Texas. She will graduate in 2026 from the BFA Musical Theatre program in the School of Theatre, Dance and Film at Texas State University.
McKenlee is especially passionate about creating and reimagining art that sparks reflective conversation and disrupts conventional thinking. As a queer, mixed-race artist, she believes that representation matters, not just on stage but on creative teams as well. She discovered her love for directing her freshmen year of college. Her senior year, she was the associate director of Sweeney Todd. In January 2026, she directed and concieved her first musical revue with Pasek & Paul's work featuring an all-female cast. She reimagined some of their most famous songs and created something totally unique.
When she's not creating, you can find her thrifting, doing yoga (hopefully with puppies), drinking a honey lavender matcha latte with oat milk and making her friends participate in Pitch Perfect Riff-Offs.
